La Llar de L’Artesà – Borda Popaire is a rustic restaurant with a history of over 100 years, located in an old borda (typical Andorran construction). We specialize in Andorran cuisine and wood fire grilled meats. Come and taste the essence of the Pyrenees, in the unique surroundings of Bordes d’Envalira (Soldeu).

Currently, apart from offering you a menu that is full of traditional dishes of the Pyrenees and Andorra, cooked with great care, in La Llar de l’Artesà – Borda Popaire restaurant you can discover a small ethnographic museum in Soldeu, which will show you how life in Andorra used to be in the past, with several old and everyday objects.

Meat lovers are lucky here! One of Andorra’s traditional dishes is meat, such as the delicious T-bone steak prepared in La Llar de l’Artesà – Borda Popaire.
Foie gras micuit
French influences are evident in Andorra’s cuisine: duck foie gras micuit is the result of a low temperature cooking, which maintains its organoleptic qualities.
The most traditional dish in La Cerdanya and Andorra is trinxat, a dish as simple as delicious: it is similar to a chopped potato and cabbage omelette, accompanied by bacon.
Another traditional dish in the Pyrenees and Andorra is escudella: a stew with meat, vegetables, noodles and chickpeas, undoubtedly ideal to get warm in winter.
Everyone loves cannelloni: they have the unmistakable flavor of meat combined with pasta, white sauce and gratin cheese, and they are craved at any time.
